EYFS Teaching Assistant - Reception Class - Claydon Primary School

Salary: Grade 3 point 4 - £11,638 (actual)

Hours/Weeks 27.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, Mon – Fri: 8.40 – 11.40 & 12.40 – 15.10

Job term: permanent, term time only; starting January 2021

Currently, we are looking to employ one new TA to join our Early Years team, to work alongside an experienced team in supporting pupil’s learning. This may involve group and/or individual 1:1 work.

You should be:

  • A proactive experienced Early Years Practitioner
  • Energetic, with bags of enthusiasm; someone flexible who has a nurturing attitude and a positive outlook
  • Someone with good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and child development.
  • Be able to demonstrate the confidence and ability to manage children in a positive and friendly manner
  • Have sound maths and literacy skills (GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths is essential)
  • Have experience of working with children in a learning environment
  • Have the ability to use initiative, work as part of a team and have a good sense of humour
  • An excellent communicator, creative and passionate about helping children be the best they can be.
