Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages - Claydon High School

French and/or Spanish

Part Time - approximately 0.3 FTE (tbc)

Required for September 2019

‘Be the best you can be’

One language sets you in a corridor for life. Two languages open every door along the way (Frank Smith)

We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to teach French and/or Spanish at Key Stage Three.  The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching languages, committed to motivating students to reach their full potential and will contribute to our whole school development and the raising of standards.

This post has arisen due to the consistently high percentage of students studying languages at KS4 and the changes to our curriculum at KS3.  The successful candidate will be joining a successful, hard-working and supportive faculty, working with the rest of the team in improving student outcomes.  The successful candidate will ideally be looking to contribute to the extra-curricular programme and able to demonstrate an innovative and interactive style of teaching.

This post would be suitable for a new entrant to the profession or a colleague seeking to broaden their experience.  Claydon High School, in liaison with local providers, provide an excellent support programme for newly appointed staff.  NQTs will be paid for working in July if they are available to come into school at the end of the summer term.  We pride ourselves on our positive hardworking ethos and collegiate atmosphere.

Claydon High School is a popular mixed comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich, easily accessed from the A12 and A14.

We look forward to hearing from you.
