‘Be the best you can be’

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Claydon High School as an English Teaching Assistant, working within a strong and supportive team.  This post has become available as a colleague has left us to be a full time Mum.

We are looking to appoint a colleague with excellent literacy and a desire to ensure students are prepared for study and their future lives with reading, writing and oracy skills.  Our whole school focus is supporting students to be the best they can be.

The successful applicant will support teachers and learners in English lessons developing language and literacy skills.  In addition they will work with small groups of students delivering catch up intervention or supporting GCSE revision.

We are looking for a confident, committed and flexible individual with good communication skills.  Ideally the successful candidate will have some relevant experience of working with young people aged 11-16 in an educational setting and have good ICT skills to support learners.  This post would be suitable for graduates considering a future career in teaching.

Claydon High School is a popular mixed comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich.  We pride ourselves on our positive hardworking ethos and atmosphere.
