The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject, committed to motivating students to reach their full potential and offer enrichment beyond the classroom. The post would be suitable for a new entrant to the profession or a colleague seeking to broaden their experience. Claydon High School provides an excellent support programme for newly appointed staff. Visitors and prospective colleagues often comment on the warm welcome they receive here and as a staff we work collaboratively together and support each other.
Claydon High School is a popular, oversubscribed and friendly comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich; we are situated close to the A14 with easy transport links across Suffolk and into Essex. We are a small school with 772 students on roll which means that there is a close working relationship with all the staff and students in the school. As part of the Penrose Learning Trust we also work closely with other schools within the MAT to achieve “excellence through collaboration”.
